London: Thomas Boys, 1823. First Edition. Hard Cover. Octavo. Item #6316
xiv, 85pp. Bound in original blue paper covered boards, paper spine label. William Combe's most popular work was the Dr. Syntax books; the present work was published by the editor after the author's death. Now quite rare on the market, "Letters to Marianne" does not appear in the auction record in the past 30 years. OCLC shows just 20 copies in world libraries. Internally, very clean, corners just a bit worn, most of blue paper is worn from spine and only a few letters on spine label are readable. Text and boards are very clean and bright.
