Men's fashion swatch book for Spring & Summer of 1920 , includes a selection of suits, trousers, vest, jackets and coats. (24) unnumbered leaves on heavy stock, front paste down is a reference guide for correct measuring and the details needed for taking measures, containing 192 swatches of material for use in the making of suites for the Spring & Summer season and includes 6 corduroy swatches located on rear pastedown, with illustrations of men wearing the various suites with pictorial backgrounds, some decorative color borders, head pieces; bound in 3/4 black pebble grained cloth over green cloth lettered in gilt. Light wear at extremities. A massive catalog from a leading San Francisco men's clothier. The Selig firm offered a complete selection of "clothes that reflect character." Very scarce, especially so with all of the fabric intact. Melvyl lists a 1915 Selig catalog in the collection of the California State library, no copies of this 1920 publication. OCLC list one copy of Selig's catalog for the Fall and Winter collection dated 1915. Very good.
