Only a trace of wear at extremities, Bookplate of Colston's Girl's School, Bristol by bequest of of Charles Julious Ryland on front pastedowns, shelf sticker skillfully removed from lower spines leaving a trace of discoloration, slight fading to spines and front edge of volume II. Internally very clean, with no previous owner's names or stamps. First edition of Sir Winston Churchill's acclaimed biography of his father.
