(Member of the Order of the British Empire) title by the Queen in 1964. Lennon and McCartney composed hundreds of songs and may were held in high regard by serious musicians. The Beatles will be remembered for their music. Lennon and McCartney wrote the words and music for the documentary "All This and World War II" (1976), and McCartney composed songs for several films, notably "Live and Let Die" (1973).
