Viking review copy with slip laid in. Forward by Greene, who explains why this book was eventually republished. He found after re-reading the first edition which was first published 28 years earlier in 1934, he didn't care much for parts he had written and made changes. 214pp., bound in light blue cloth, upper board stamped in blind, spine lettering lime green; fine in unclipped near fine dust jacket with a small closed edge tear to bottom front panel. This would make for a nice addition to accompany Greene's first edition.
