There are a number of pencil notations relating to Mr. Lack's experiences throughout the text. One of just 2000 copies printed; original blue cloth printed in gilt, black endpapers. Rear inner hinge of volume I and front inner hinge of volume II starting; light foxing to frontis and title page of both volumes, light occasional foxing in text of volume II. Illustrations by Angus MacNeil of the the Seaforth Highlanders, many maps, some folding, some in color. Light fading to lower front panels of both volumes. Altogether quite a handsome pair, with custom cloth slipcase.
