London. First Edition. Original Wraps. Octavo. Fine. Item #0333
IN: NATURE, volume 172, No. 4382; October 24, 1953, pp. 759-762. Original printed wrappers. Wilkins, along with Watson & Crick, received the Nobel Prize in 1962 for his x-ray diffraction studies of the DNA molecule, which revealed its double-helix structure. The present paper is a follow-up to the paper by Wilkins, Stokes and Wilson (Nature vol. 171, April, 1953, 737), which accompanied Watson & Crick's now famous announcement of DNA structure. A fine copy.
