The ornament on the title page is the same as the one on the 1759 first edition of Candide. Contemporary 3/4 brown leather, all edges stained red; a few letters lost on red label on spine; some scuffing and edge wear; light marginal stain, not affecting text on about 50 leaves; overall, a very good copy.
